Vais and Tuck: <br /> DEPARTMENT COMMENTS ON REMEDIAL ACTION WORK PLAN FOR <br /> CONTAMINATED SOILS EXCAVATION AND TREATMENT AT 2041 NAVY <br /> DRIVE, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> The Department has reviewed the revised Remedial Action Work <br /> Plan For Contaminated Soils Excavation and Treatment at 2041 <br /> Navy Drive, Stockton, California, prepared for the Lika <br /> Corporation by Woodward-Clyde Consultants, dated August 18, <br /> 1989 and received August 23 , 1989 . Included are some comments <br /> on the Site Specific Safety Plan by Rod Oswalt, Associate <br /> Industrial Hygienist. <br /> Except for minor text comments listed below, excluding the <br /> Site Specific Safety Plan, this remainder of the Work Plan for <br /> Excavation and Treatment of contaminated soils at the Lika <br /> Corporation - Navy Drive site is acceptable to the Department. <br /> Comments on the Site Specific Safety Plan (Appendix C) must <br /> be addressed by Woodward-Clyde and ENSCO as soon as possible <br /> during the remedial action implementation. <br /> Woodward-Clyde and ENSCO must decide which Class III Landfill <br /> the treated soil will be transported to and have the approval <br /> of the Regional Water Quality Control Board before disposing <br /> of the treated soil at the designated Class III Landfill . <br /> This information must be included in the Transportation Plan <br /> (Appendix H) . Woodward-Clyde and ENSCO must also decide what <br /> calendar date will be used as the cut-off time to take the <br /> treated soil to a Class I Landfill. <br /> The Department will decide on which monitoring wells will be <br /> used for the post closure monitoring after the excavation has <br /> been completed. <br /> The comments are listed in order by page and section heading: <br />
