':"HENT <br /> Soil and groundwater samples collected were transported, under COC documentation, to Argon <br /> Laboratories, of Ceres, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory for analysis of the <br /> following constituents: <br /> Analysis Abbreviation Designation USEPA Method No. <br /> Total Petroleum TPH Gas-Range <br /> Hydrocarbons as Gasoline g Hydrocarbons <br /> Benzene <br /> Toluene Aromatic 8260B <br /> EBTEX Volatile <br /> th (benzene <br /> Xylenes (Total) Organics <br /> SOIL EXCAVATION <br /> On September 19 and 20, 2013, Apex personnel supervised the removal of approximately 335 <br /> cubic yards of petroleum contaminated debris, grasses and soil from the spill area. These <br /> materials were loaded into 10-wheeled dump trucks and deposited on visqueen adjacent to the <br /> spill at 22934 E. Mariposa Road pending proper disposal. Apex used the results from the soil <br /> borings advanced on September 6, 2013 to delineate the extent of petroleum contamination both <br /> vertically and horizontally. <br /> On September 20, 2013, once it appeared that the sidewalls and excavation floor were no longer <br /> impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons, confirmation soil samples were collected at various <br /> locations in the excavation (Figure 2). The soil samples were collected by Apex personnel and <br /> witnessed by SJCEHD representative Garrett Backus. The laboratory analytical results are <br /> summarized in Table 1. <br /> Once the confirmation soil samples were collected, Apex was given approval to begin backfilling <br /> the excavation with clean, imported fill from Munn and Perkins, Inc. of Escalon, California. <br /> ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES <br /> The soil samples were transported under COC documentation to Argon Analytical Services, Inc. <br /> of Ceres, California, a State-certified laboratory, for analysis of: <br />
