Page 1 of 4
Mike Infurna [EH]
To: Brian Taylor
Subject: RE: Shell Mountain House Well Abandonments. !5
l
Thank you Brian,
I have been in touch with Jeff Gaarder and we have come up with a working solution to the permiting process.
The ball is in Shell's/CRA's court now. After they submit all the documents and fees I need to process the
permit applications, the ball will be in my court. I have every intention of processing them in the quickest time I
can so as to not delay their requirements to the CVRWQCB.
I will advise you at any step of the process you require. If all you need is my notification at the end of ALL
sucessful well destructions, I can do that too. Just let me know how involved you want to be for this phase.
Mike Infurna
SJCEHD.
From: Brian Taylor [ma i Ito:betaylor@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Thursday, September 15, 20118:23 AM
To: kevin.dyer@shell.com; Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: jgaarder@craworld.com
Subject: RE: Shell Mountain House Well Abandonments.
Kevin;
The 28 October submittal date was a reasonable estimate that assumed that the application process
would be completed. The county has indicated that they require additional submittals.
Since the 30-day comment period for our fact sheet has expired without a response from the public, we
will issue the conditional closure. It gives Shell 6 months to provide documentation of the closures.
Therefore there should be ample time to complete the County's application process and complete the
abandonments.
We will issue NFA after we receive notice that the abandonments have been completed.
Hope this helps.
I'll be away from my desk all day today but will be periodically checking for emails and phone calls if
there are any questions.
Brian Taylor P.G
AGT Program
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
11020 Sun Center Drive
Rancho Cordova, Ca. 95670
(916) 464-4811
>>> <kevin.dyer@shell.com> 9/14/2011 11:26 AM >>>
I believ,e that we have the access agreements in place.
9/15/2011
