Mr. Rob Donovan -2 - • 12 March 2003 '
5. The isoconcentration maps need to show all contour lines. Several isoconcentration maps
contour to 1,000 parts per billion(ppb), and the next contour line is less than 50 ppb or less than
0.5 ppb.
6. Isoconcentration maps must reflect reported concentrations. Examples of discrepancies are:
• Figure 7 has a value of 6,420 ppb on the 10,000 ppb contour line;
• Figure 8 has a value of 11 ppb contoured inside the 100 ppb contour line;
• Figure 9 has a value of 1,700 ppb contoured inside the 5,000 ppb contour line;
• Figure 14 has an 11,000 ppb concentration not contoured;
• Figure 18 has a value of 369 contoured closer to the 100 contour line than a 268 value;
• Figure 18 has a value of<1,000 within the<50 contour line; and
• Figure 22 has a value of<2,000 outside the<50 contour line.
By 9 April 2001, please provide a work plan to delineate the lateral and vertical extent of groundwater
contamination at the site, define the lateral extent of water-bearing zone D, and provide an evaluation of
remedial alternatives prepared in general accordance with the attached Items To Be Included In A
Feasibility Study/Remedial Options Evaluation Report.
