The purpose of the meeting was to discuss proposed monitoring wells that require an
access agreement between the Port and Stockton Terminals Technical Committee (STTC). The meeting
started with introductions and discussion of the STTC facilities (site) in regards to investigations and
purpose for the additional proposed monitoring wells. A summary of our discussion regarding site
issues is presented below.
1. The Port requested abandonment of monitoring wells that are not included in the quarterly
groundwater monitoring program. The Port also requested that each well be located and
inspected to ensure that the wells are not providing a conduit for surface contamination to reach
groundwater. The Port specifically referred to the following wells:
• Monitoring wells PS/MW-11 and PS/MW-12 are not being sampled.
• Monitoring wells PS/MW-1M,PS/MW-16, and PS/MW-19 are missing.
2. The Port noted that the site wells do not have survey coordinates and requested all wells be
surveyed. All new wells will be surveyed and existing wells resurveyed to establish the survey
coordinates. Following the survey, IT will generate a site map using the CAD base map provided
by the Port that will include all wells. Stephen Lofhohn has scheduled the well inspection for the
week of 2 July 2001.
3. According to Stephen Lofholm, monitoring wells PS/WC-3S and PS/WC-3M have been
repaired.
California Environmental Protection Agency
0 Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real.
