CHRONOLOGY <br /> 09-07-88 Staff memo says three contaminated barrels in Unocal must be <br /> disposed at a permitted facility. <br /> 10-27-88 SFPP submits to SJLHD work plan which proposes to install four <br /> wells. (Work plan not in case file. ) <br /> 11-30-88 Time Oil letter to City of Stockton describes Time Oil 's ground <br /> water extraction system and requests discharge of extracted <br /> ground water to Stockton's wastewater treatment plant. <br /> 12-15-88 Report from 7 June 1988 Phase III work plan for additional work <br /> (received 21 February 1989) describes development and sampling <br /> of piezometers and wells. <br /> 12-21-88 Tesoro letter proposes a 25'x 25' lined pond for runoff con- <br /> tainment. <br /> 01-12-89 Tesoro letter proposes to test rain runoff for EPA Methods 8240 <br /> and 8270, Modified 8015, and ICPES constituents. <br /> 01-18-89 Staff letter to PS transmits draft C&A naming PS, ARCO, SFPP, <br /> ST, Stockton Petroleum, Tesoro, and UPRR as responsible parties <br /> (RPs). Time Oil and Unocal were not named in the C&A because <br /> of on-going investigation at each site. <br /> 02-01-89 SFPP requests to be taken out of C&A based on investigations <br /> done onsite. <br /> 02-01-89 ST states RPs are committed to cleaning up contamination and <br /> requests C&A be not issued. <br /> 02-02-89 Tesoro states RPs are working on cleaning up contamination and <br /> that C&A is unnecessary at this time. <br /> 02-17-89 TC letter describes proposed ground penetrating radar (GPR) <br /> survey will be used to define extent of hydrocarbon contamina- <br /> tion in ground water. <br /> 02-17-89 PS letter states GPR is going to be used to define contamina- <br /> tion extent, wells will be installed to confirm results, and <br /> product recovery/ground water cleanup system will be designed <br /> and installed with staff approval .
