CHRONOLOGY <br /> 05-25-89 Staff letter to SFPP transmits 05-19-89 memo and requests <br /> response by 06-09-89 regarding whether SFPP will participate in <br /> the investigation by the TC. <br /> 06-08-89 SFPP letter reiterates that it has not caused any contamination <br /> at the port and sees no advantage in joining the TC. <br /> 06-13-89 SJLHD reports a gasoline spill of an unknown amount at the <br /> port. <br /> 06-15-89 TC states comprehensive report will be submitted on 4 August <br /> and FS on 11 August. <br /> 08-04-89 TC transmits draft comprehensive report, final report to be <br /> mailed 10-09-89. Draft FS would be delivered 08-11-89. <br /> 08-14-89 TC transmits draft FS and results of GPR. TC says results are <br /> doubtful due to numerous false positives and negatives. <br /> 10-06-89 PS letter describes receipt of final comprehensive report which <br /> will be submitted to staff shortly after 10-09-89. The FS will <br /> be submitted after 10-16-89. <br /> 11-29-89 TC transmits comprehensive report. The report provides a <br /> summary of site operations and previous investigations and re- <br /> ports; a description of the facilities' surface and subsurface <br /> conditions; the extent of contamination and identification of <br /> data gaps to fully characterize contamination; and a site <br /> assessment plan for definition of horizontal and vertical <br /> extent of soil and ground water pollution which will serve as <br /> the basis for remediation. <br /> 03-19-90 Harding and Lawson Associates (HLA) transmits "Proposed Work <br /> Plan, Soil and Groundwater Investigation, Arco Terminal , Navy <br /> Drive and Washington Street, Stockton, California". The work <br /> plan proposes sampling six existing monitoring wells, install- <br /> ing six more wells, collecting soil samples, developing and <br /> sampling the new wells, and preparing a report on work conduct- <br /> ed. <br /> 05-22-90 HLA submits "Proposed Work Plan, Piezometer Installation, Arco <br /> Terminal , Stork Drive and Washington Street, Stockton, Califor- <br /> nia" . The work plan proposes installation of six piezometers, <br /> collection of soil samples from piezometer boreholes, develop- <br /> ment of piezometers and measurement of water levels, and prepa- <br /> ration of a report on the investigation. <br /> 07-18-90 Insurance Company of the West (ICW) requests information on <br /> fuel releases at the port before 02-21-81. <br />
