l � <br /> BUR <br /> • Phase I Interim Remedial Action (IRA) piezometer pairs PZ-012A (1 and 2) through PZ-014A <br /> (1 and 2), located on Pacific Avenue, were sampled, and the newly reinstalled piezometer <br /> PZ-005A (2) was developed from October 20 through 23, 1998. <br /> • Phase I IRA conveyance pipeline installation and treatment unit construction was ongoing <br /> during the bimonthly period. Punch list items were completed and final acceptance is <br /> anticipated in December. System startup activities were completed in October and November; <br /> full-scale system operation commenced on November 23, 1998. <br /> • The Phase II IRA soil-vapor extraction (SVE) pilot test was conducted at Lincoln Center from <br /> October 25 through October 28, 1998. The pilot test was conducted to collect data to design <br /> and implement an appropriate IRA to address significant concentrations of volatile organic <br /> compounds within the unsaturated zone. <br /> • New remedial investigation and IRA monitoring wells, piezometers, SVE monitoring wells, <br /> SVE wells, CPT/PIPP borings, and soil-vapor points were surveyed on October 14, 1998. <br /> • Dedicated equipment was installed in A- and B-zone monitoring wells (MW-104A, MW-109A <br /> through MW-114A, and MW-208 through MW-210) on November 13, 1998. <br /> • Access negotiations continued with private property owners and their tenants for permission to <br /> conduct remedial investigation activities on nearby properties. <br /> Data Collection and Field Activities Anticipated for December 1998 and January 1999 <br /> The following data collection and field activities are planned at the Site during the next bimonthly <br /> period, or have commenced or been completed since the end of the bimonthly period: <br /> • CPT/PIPP borings will be advanced at Locations 20 and 23 (Figure 1). <br /> • A- and B-zone monitoring wells will be installed at Locations 20, 21, and 23 and an A-zone <br /> monitoring well will be installed at Location 22 (Figure 1). <br /> Documents Submitted or Received <br /> The following documents were completed and issued during the bimonthly period: <br /> • The "Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, July 1 through September 30, 1998 (Third <br /> Quarter 1998), Lincoln Center, Stockton, California," was issued on November 13, 1998. <br /> • The RWQCB approved the "Data Validation for Quarterly Monitoring and Initial Sampling of <br /> New Wells, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California (QAPP Revision No. 7)," submitted on <br /> October 26, 1998, in its letter dated November 4, 1998. <br /> bimonthly-Dm98-0411 LSRL 2 <br />
