As of last Friday, we were still on the August 1
schedule for construction at 7647 Pacific, Stockton. However, the architect just informed us that he found
out the Architectural Review Board required him to make modifications to the building. These
modifications will affect wells VW-3 and MW-11 R as well as MW-4, and have pushed back the entire
process. Now we are probably looking at December before ground is broken.
The bad news: we both worked hard unnecessarily to get this work plan and permit done, and we are
going to have to destroy a couple more wells than we thought.
The good news: no rush to approve the MW-4 well destruction permit now. We will have time to evaluate
all of the wells with regard to location for construction, well screen, and monitoring effectiveness, and we
now plan to do this in writing to you by September in order to allow review time for the destructions in
November(and other possible surprises that the changing development plans may bring). We will also be
able to keep running the remediation system for a few months now if the test results indicate it is
necessary, and leave all the current wells, including MW-4, until the fourth quarter sampling is completed, if
you would prefer.
Please let me know if you agree with this plan. If so, please ignore the permit and we will resubmit a new
one in September. Can the fees already paid now be good for that permit? (Unless you already read it, of
course).
Should I still play the Lotto?....
Thanks,
Diane
7n.n/7nln
