14 June 2004
AGE-NC Project No 98-0540
3 2 2 Off-site Domestic Well Results
The laboratory analysis detected TPH-g,ethylbenzene and xylenes in ground water samples collected
on 20 November 2003 from domestic wells located at 25272 Hwy 99 and 25144 Hwy 99(Figure 3)
TPH-g was reported at concentrations of 2,400 µg/l and 2,200 µg/1, respectively, xylenes were
reported at concentrations of 5 9 µg/1 and 2 5 µg11, respectively, and ethylbenzene was reported at
2 1 µg11 in the sample from 25272 Hwy 99
The two wells were re-sampled on 04 and 10 December 2003 and sent to Cal Tech Environmental
Laboratories (CTEL) and McCampbell Analytical Inc (MAI), respectively No analytes were
detected above laboratory reporting limits from either sampling event or laboratory
No analytes of concern were detected above laboratory reporting limits from the samples collected
from the four domestic wells on 15 March 2004
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 Copies of the laboratory
reports(CTEL Project No CT214-0312175,CT214-031113 8,CT214-0312045 and CT214-0403123,
and MAI Work Order 0312216) and chain-of-custody forms are in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY ANIS CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
• During the December 2003 monitoring event, the ground water gradient was 0 003 ft/ft with
a flow direction toward the east-southeast During the March 2004 monitoring event, the
groundwater gradient was 0 001 ft/ft with a flow direction toward the south-southeast These
flow directions were consistent with gradients and flow directions from previous monitoring
events
• TPH-g, various BTEX compounds and 1,2-DCA were detected in ground water samples
collected from wells MW-1 and MW-3 during the December monitoring event, however,
only 1,2-DCA was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 and
MW-3 during the March 2004 monitoring event March 2003 was the first monitoring event
in which TPH-g and BTEX compounds were not detected in any of the monitoring wells
• The 1,2-DCA concentrations detected in the samples collected from MW-1 and MW-3
exceeded the State of California's Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 0 5 µg/1
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
