Viewing the site and its surroundings is
helpful for us when making decisions. As we discussed during our meeting, there is not enough
information about the soil contamination at the site to determine if ground water has been impacted.
We discussed several alternatives for investigating the contamination, including, installation of three
monitoring wells, installation of one monitoring well in the area of highest soil contamination, and
use of a cone penetrometer device/"Hydropunch" to collect soil/ground water samples in four or
five locations around the tank.
To Help you in your investigation we agreed to sample'the on-site drinking water well and conduct
one round of analyses. I will contact you early next week to arrange for access to the well for.
sampling and to discuss your options for further investigation of the soil contamination, Once the
drinking water well has been sampled, the additional work has been completed, and samples
analyzed, one.report can be submitted, containing maps and the information we need to make a
decision on the site status.
If you have questions, please call me at (916) 255-3125.
•
n
L `
EL;ZA ETH A.
