The container <br /> bunghole was open and not eing used during the time of inspection. <br /> An open cardboard box cont ining metal grindings was observed. <br /> All hazardous waste contain rs shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br /> close these containers and a sure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Cla s Il. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored ha rdous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> One card board box full of m tal grindings was observed in the tune-up area near the brake grinder. The manager, <br /> Xavier Hernandez, stated tha the grindings were being disposed of as hazardous waste. <br /> Since it cannot be determine how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to di pose of this waste under manifest.
