Per Facility management, <br /> overfill alarm systems are installed on all diesel and gasoline tanks located in the eastern <br /> tank farm. The five fuel double walled AST have general secondary; while the waste oil <br /> AST is within a secondary drainage serviced by sewer drainage connection an oil/water <br /> separator. The waste oil AST additionally has a secondary leak monitoring and alarm <br /> system installed. Storage drums are not refilled, and therefore overfill prevention systems <br /> do not apply. <br /> 4.2.9. Effluent Treatment Facilities - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(9) <br /> This section is not applicable since there are no effluent treatment systems at this Facility. <br /> 4.2.10. Visible Discharges - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(10) <br /> Visible discharges from any container or appurtenance — including seams, gaskets, <br /> piping, pumps, valves, rivets, and bolts — are quickly corrected upon discovery. Oil is <br /> promptly removed from berm areas and disposed of according to the waste disposal <br /> method described in Section 5.0. of this Plan. <br /> 4.2.11. Mobile and Portable Containers - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(11) <br /> Storage drums are not refilled, and therefore overfill prevention systems do not apply. <br /> Drums of oil or waste adsorbent are stored south of the Facility truck repair shop. <br /> Additionally, some quantity of empty, steel drums are stored in a fenced enclosure, south <br /> of the fuel ASTs. <br /> 4.3. TRANSFER OPERATIONS, PUMPING, AND IN-PLANT PROCESSES - <br /> 40 CFR 112.8(d) <br /> Transfer operations at this Facility include: <br /> • Waste oil transfer into the corresponding ASTs. <br /> • The filling of Facility vehicles at the diesel fueling AST via the dispenser. <br /> • The transfer of oil from tanker trucks at the unloading area. <br /> • The transfer of oil to vehicles in the Maintenance Building. <br />
