FromAarril dela Tore To: Mary Ways Date:612TM5 Time:10143:59 Page 3 of 3
Stockton Federal Building Tank Removal
On-Site Meeting Amended Minutes
Project No.: RCA21521
Contract No.: GS09P94KTC000070
June 26, 1.995
Page 2
problem both to the building and the street. Eventually the fill would be removed and replaced
by engineered, compacted soil fill as part ofthe permanent remedial measures to be taken later.
1.10 Mary showed concern that a registered geologist was not on-site during excavation. Clemens
indicated they did.not contract for one since they were not given a modification to include this
service in their contract.
1.1.1 Mary asked that the test results under both tanks be submitted to her office with a summary report
that included an analysis ofthe data and conclusions. A qualified firm must be used to generate
this report. Two weeks was assigned for this task and was due to her office by 7/5/95. GSA will
contact Cape Environmental to arrange this. Abide will forward the test results to Cape as soon
as the results, for tank 2 are submitted by Clemens. Devin turned the testresults for tank 1 over
to Darril.
1.12 GSA will also discuss with Cape Environmental the need to have a phase two assessment work.
plan done. Mary stated that.a work plan detailing the exact procedures for conducting the
assessment should be submitted by$!4195.
1.13 Mary stated that her office is.sensitive to the costs for remediation efforts at this site. She did not
want to see costs rise to unrealistic or inappropriate levels on any remediation project.
1.14 Mary responded to Ando's question about the length of time ground water monitoring was
required. She stated that at a minimum,2 quarterly sampling events are required.
The foregoing conveys our understanding of items discussed and decisions reached during this meeting.
We assume our understanding to be correct unless notice to the contrary is brought to our attention.
Prepared: Abide International,Inc.
Signed:
Date: Amended per San.Joaquin Environmental Health comments of June 26, 1995
i
I
I
i
j
i
