• Ensure that the work plan is carried out at the project level. <br /> • Ensure that monitoring of the work area and the perimeter of the site for toxin's <br /> (are PEL's maintained?), flammable (is the LEL 10% or less?) and oxygen(is the <br /> oxygen level 19.5% or greater?) is done on a continual basis. <br /> • Conduct weekly safety meetings with employees. These meetings will be <br /> documented and a copy furnished to the owner upon request. <br /> • Record minor and major accidents. <br /> • Make medical aid arrangements, designate a hospital and ensure that emergency <br /> medical transportation procedures are established prior to the beginning of work. <br /> Post phone numbers of emergency services on the project bulletin board. <br /> (Communications will be made by telephone or cellular phone.) <br /> • Distribute and monitor Personnel protective equipment (PPE) as specified in the <br /> UPP. <br /> • Installation of barricades and additional warning signs as necessary to provide for <br /> employee and public safety. <br /> • Periodic inspection of all aspects of construction operations to determine if any <br /> deficiencies exist, and correct as necessary. . <br /> • Ensure that first aid kit(s) are on-site. One kit will be in the Superintendents <br /> pickup. <br /> • Notify the owner, OSHA and local entities in the event of any accident on the <br /> project. Follow up notification with Accident Report (see IIPP for standard form). <br /> Employees <br /> All employees are required to read and understand this plan, the site safety <br /> plan and the work plan. Employees must be familiar with OSHA <br /> regulations, and have proof of hazardous materials training as required by <br /> CFR 1910.120 (If the construction site is deemed an uncontrolled <br /> hazardous waste site as defined by a CFR 1910.120, and the required level <br /> of protection is greater than "D" (29 CFR 1910.120), then copies of 40 <br /> hour hazardous training certificates will be furnished for all employees <br /> before the start of work.). Further, they are to sign Clemens Construction <br /> Co.'s "Employee Package" before being allowed to work on the project. <br /> The "Employee Package" (included at the end of the IIPP) contains the <br /> following information: <br /> • Safety Policy Statement <br /> • Code of Safe Practices <br />
