This mitigation or a similar measure is required by <br /> Section 9-4103 (g-3) of the County Zoning Ordinance, which <br /> states that any resource recovery use "Shall be located within <br /> means of solid fencing, earthen berms, natural or altered <br /> terrain or solid evergreen hedge. <br /> • Equipment should be regularly maintained to minimize noisl <br /> levels. Locations and orientation of this equipment can also <br /> serve to minimize its impact on the nearby residence. <br /> • Trucks should be maintained in good repair, particularly their <br /> muffler and brake systems. <br /> • Off-site noise impacts generated by chipping activities should <br /> be minimized by appropriate siting of chipping equipment. The <br /> applicant should provide San Joaquin County with a list of <br /> these who would be using chipping equipment. Guidelines an <br /> regulations for minimizing noise impacts should be sent to al , <br /> those on the list.
