April 28, 1998 the following Discussion/Conclusions Advanced Geological
Engineering quarterly report:
• The ground water flow has returned to a westerly flow direction over last
quarter.
• The ground water monitoring well slotted intervals have a reduced
effectiveness to characterize the dissolved-phase hydrocarbons plume.
• The screened interval of monitoring wells MW1-2-3-5 had groundwater
approximately (5) five-feet above the top of the screened interval.
• During operation of the Soil Vapor Extraction system an estimated 65
sixty-five gallons of gasoline were removed bringing the present total to
381 gallons of gasoline removed.
• Installation of additional IAS points or wells to stimulate remediation of
impacted ground water in the area of MW-4
May 10, 1999 Sparging/Extraction System operating and monitoring continued
Note: For technical information, field reports, lab. Reports see Advanced
Geological Engineering quarterly report dated March, 1999
May 24 & 25 1999 and July 20, 1999 five soil borings were advanced at the site.
Probe boring for soil confirmation were advanced at the area of the former
Underground Storage tank site and at a vacant lot 200 feet southwest of the
former UST area. (For technical data see AGE September report)
December 29, 1999 The last quarter monitoring activities were conducted. Site
history and findings from previous investigations and monitoring events at the
site are summarized in Problem Assessment Report (PAR) prepared by Science
& Engineering Analysis Corporation (SEACORE) dated July 1994 and in
Quarterly report — September 1995 prepared by AGE, dated October 3, 1995
April 4, 2000 a meeting was held at the S. J. County Public Health Services to
discuss of the closure of the site. Representative of Advanced Geological
Engineering, Mr. Chapin, members of the Environmental Health Department and
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board were present to
determine site closure criteria and future requirements for remediation of the site.
Re-initiation of the active soil and ground water remediation was directed by the
regulatory agencies. Advanced Geological Engineering has made repairs to the
remediation system and has collected a soil gas sample.
All analysis was non-detect, however air sparging was not activated. (See)
Quarterly Report — second Quarter 2000 AGES for technical findings)
September 15, 2000 AGE collected ground water samples and soil vapor
samples. Or findings see Quarterly Report.
