The 2013 bills of lading or manifests for the management of lead acid batteries could not be found during <br />the inspection. A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy <br />of all bills of lading or manifests for lead acid batteries for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit <br />copies of the 2013 bills of lading or manifests for lead acid batteries to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />17 <br />HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data electronically. <br />A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System (CERS) for the hazardous waste program has not been <br />made. Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new (or any changes to existing) <br />hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous <br />waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required <br />fields. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />Dark oil stains were found on the shop floor near the middle bay roll up door. Dark oil stains and contaminated <br />absorbent were found on the shop floor next to the used oil tank and used coolant drum. Facilities shall be <br />maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br />surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up the dark oil stains and <br />contaminated absorbent, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br />supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />40; <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />The drum of hazardous waste coolant was left open. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times <br />except when adding or removing waste.
