Two 5 gallon buckets of used oil were observed by the used oil storage area without lids. A 20 <br />gallon gray steel drum of m tal shavings was observed without a lid. All hazardous waste containers <br />shall be closed at all times xcept when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers <br />and ensure all hazardous w ste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />30. Three 55 gallon drums(I lue poly, red steel, and rusted steel) and a 30 gallon white poly drum which <br />previously held hazardous slubstances were observed in the north yard by the fence without empty <br />labeling. A 55 gallon blue seel drum which previously held used oil was observed in the front main yard <br />without labeling. Two 55 ga11lon drums (blue steel and blue poly) were observed in the used oil storage <br />area without empty labeling. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous <br />material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being <br />emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />50. A 20 gallon gray steel drum of metal shavings was observed in the shop. A 55 gallon blue steel <br />drum of sludge and waste solids was observed outside the shop. According to Mr. Maharaj, these <br />wastes have not been hauled since 2008. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste <br />per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to <br />180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under <br />manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by July 30, 2011. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TJME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Inspector: <br />Received By: / / <br />Title: <br />r — l <br />EHD 23 0 03 ev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
