The conduit must be properly sealed in accordance with <br />the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and the Auto- <br />motive and Marine Service Station Code (NFPA 30A) <br />since they pass from a Class I, Division I or Division II <br />area into a nonhazardous area. <br />0 <br />1. Install a weatherproof electrical junction box with <br />gasketed cover on the end of each probe and sensor <br />conduit run at the manhole or monitoring well location. <br />Gasketing or sealing compound must be used at each <br />entry to the junction box to ensure a waterproof junc- <br />tion. The interior of each junction box must be a <br />minimum of 16 cubic inches. Use one of the approved <br />units shown in the following listing or an equivalent <br />unit. <br />
