Tighten the cable bushing nuts on the probe riser cap and junction box to ensure a water -tight seal at the probe cable entry. 10. Secure the riser locking cap to the top of the riser pipe. Perform the following procedure to ensure that probes are installed in the proper tanks (see Figure 27, "Tank Diam- eter Measurement"). Inaccurate readings will result if probes are not the correct length for the given tank diameter. 1. Measure the distance from the bottom of the tank to the top of the probe riser pipe (a). 2. Measure the distance from the bottom of the probe riser pipe to the top of the probe riser pipe (b). 3. Subtract (b) from (a) to determine the correct tank diameter (c). 4.
