Jeff Won EH
From: John Lane Diane@groundzeroanalysis.com]
Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2005 10:37 AM
To: Barton, Jim; Jeff Wong [EH]
Subject: Status of Speedy Foods Remediation, 8200 N. Hwy,99, Stockton
Jim and Jeff:
I met with Richard Carr at the site yesterday regarding the electrical
hookups for the Vapor Extraction System at the Speedy Foods site. Mr.
Carr expects the electrical to be complete Wednesday or -Thursday of
this week. I spoke with David Ortega of Kamps Propane and requested
that they complete their hookups within one week. Mr. Ortega will let
me know when they expect to be on site and<iinished:- . Once that is
done, I will bring Rob Larson of Makc Industries back up for system
testing, then schedule the startup and initial sampling with the Air
Board.
Also yesterday, I made some adjustments to the air stripper and re- -
started the system using only well EW1. The well was pumping at
approx. 3.0 gpm yesterday and is directed through the air stripper,
then through °the two carbon units in series. Joe Vasquez of our office
monitored the system this morning_ Flow from EW1 was reduced to about
2. 4 qpm. We are awaiting results of general minerals/hardness testing
from the extraction wells.
I will keep you informed as more information is available.
Respectfully,
John Lane
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc.
1714 Main Street
Escalon, CA 95320-1927
(209) 838-9888 Phone
(209) 838-9883 Fax
1
