This facility is visually inspected during the monthly facility <br /> inspection to detect any crack, signs of heaving or settlement, or other structural <br /> damage that could affect the ability of the facility. Any damage can be promptly <br /> corrected to prevent migration of oil into the ground. 55-gal drums in use with liquid <br /> petroleum are to sit on a containment pallet. <br /> 4.2.3 Drainage of Diked Areas (40 CFR 112.8(c)(3)) <br /> The Concrete-block enclosure shall be drained under direct supervision of facility <br /> personnel. The accumulated water is to be observed for signs of oil prior to draining. <br /> Water drained should be viewed and/or tested for contamination if any sheen is present <br /> . It is recommended that this yard be cleaned from any product and/or debris and be <br /> visually monitored for leaks or overspills in the enclosure. Records of such events <br /> must be kept for a minimum of 3 years. <br /> 38 <br />
