TVG was <br /> last ins ected by Pat Leary of the Regional Board in April <br /> 1993 . <br /> In 1989 TVG completed an asbestos removal project in which <br /> they generated 2 . 6 tons of waste asbestos insulation <br /> eliminated from boilers and piping. There has been no <br /> asbestos removal since this date. <br /> TVG had 16 tons of old laboratory waste disposed of by <br /> Rollins environmental Services under hazardous waste <br /> manifest in 1990. <br /> Prior to 1991, TVG operated a fork lift shop at their <br /> facility. This area was used for all repair and maintenance <br /> of their ifts. In November of 1989, Valley Forklift <br /> Company ( FC) started operations at a facility just east of <br /> TVG' s pla t. Since June of 1991, TVG has utilized VFC for <br /> their for lift service. Although VFC maintains separate <br /> paperwork for their hazardous waste disposal, they do use <br /> the same PA ID# as TVG, and are subject to the same <br /> requireme is for a large quantity hazardous waste generator. <br /> This fact was discovered after the initial inspections, and <br /> so anothe inspection was performed at VFC to verify their <br /> complianc with the generator requirements. <br /> V. GENERAL D SCRIPTION OF FACILITY: <br /> TVG has been located at 3200 E. Eight Mile Road since 1928 . <br /> The facility is located on 480 acres. TVG processes raw <br /> agricultural products (cherries and tomatoes) into finished <br /> product. <br /> In addition to servicing all of TVG's forklifts, VFC also <br /> provides sales, leasing, and repair of forklifts to the <br /> outside public. <br /> VI. HAZARDOUS WASTE ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: <br /> 1. TVG enerates solvent wastes associated with the repair <br /> and aintenance of cannery equipment. The solvents are <br /> pick d up by Safety Kleen, 2576 Mercantile Drive, <br /> Ranc o Cordova, California, 95742 and 5050 Salida <br /> Blvd ' Salida, California, 95368. In 1991, TVG <br /> gene ated 3 . 52 tons and in 1992 generated 2 . 50 tons of <br /> solv nt waste for recycling. VFC also generates waste <br /> solv nt using the Safety Kleen service.
