VL CONT. <br />AND/OR DIVERSIONARY STRUCTURES [112.7(c)] <br />Area 1 - Repair Tra k: Local topographic lows serve as containment for the majority of the repair track <br />area. Sections VIII 4nd IX discuss information regarding containment and diversionary structures. <br />Area 2 - Se aratio Plant: The separation plant area slopes down to the oil trap, where accumulated <br />liquids are recycled through the separation plant. Drainage beneath sludge tank cars is contained by a <br />drainage grate and d Irected back to the separation plant. Outside the tracks, flow is contained within local <br />topographic lows, and by absorbent materials stored at the separation plant. <br />Area 3 - Diesel Stoi a e: A containment with a volume greater than the total volume of Tank No. 6 is <br />located in this area. C oncrete pads with drainage beneath the pump skids and diesel truck load and unload <br />spots contain oil spi led during purging processes. The drainage is directed to the separation plant. <br />Area 4 - Diesel Shop: Drip pans and service pits are used to contain oil spills during engine servicing. <br />Lube oil tanks (Nos. 11 and 12) have concrete containments around them. The Drain Sump (T) north of <br />the diesel shop building drains to the separation plant. <br />VII. OTHER SPILL CONTROL, MEASURES [111.7(d)] <br />40 CFR Part 109 (nit applicable). <br />VUL FACILITY DRAINAGE [112.7(e)(1)] <br />Undiked oil use area at the yard drain to the separation plant through the yard drainage system or to local <br />topographic lows. D ainage along the tracks in Area 1 is locally contained. <br />Drainage within Are# 2 is by overland flow back to the oil trap. Drainage in the containment around Tank <br />No. 6 in Area 3 is drected to the separation plant through a manually activated pump in the floor of the <br />containment. <br />The majority of the diesel shop area drains into the yard drainage system toward the separation plant. <br />Drainage entering the yard system flows by gravity to the 5,000 -gallon drain sump (T) north of the diesel <br />shop area. A float g uge automatically activates the sump pump (U) to pump the accumulated liquids <br />through a stainless steel pipe to the separation plant. Some drainage on the southeast side of the shop <br />building flows to the local low sump (V) and is also directed to the separation plant. Drainage at the plant <br />is directed to the oil rap and oil is skimmed off and pumped into the waste oil tank (No. 9). Waste water <br />and oil are pumped through the main process pumps (C) to system treatment. Sludge is removed and <br />drained by gravity t the sludge tank (No. 3) and then pumped (D) to tank cars for removal through the <br />sludge load spot (E). <br />IX. BULK STOI�AGE TANKS [112.7(e)(2)] <br />Above ground bulk (storage tanks and secondary containment are summarized in Table 3.
