A 5 gallon bucket of aste liquid was observed open outside the welding shop north of the signal <br />compound. A blue plastic ub of used oil was observed in the One Spot shop without a lid. All <br />hazardous waste containe s shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br />Immediately close these c ntainers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not <br />adding or removing waste. <br />605. A 5 gallon bucket of aste liquid was observed unlabeled outside the welding shop north of the <br />signal compound. The 10, 00 gallon used oil tank in the waste water treatment plant and the 5,000 <br />gallon used oil tank on the orthern portion of the facility were observed without accumulation start <br />dates. A 55 gallon blacks el drum of oil contaminated solids was observed with a label that had faded <br />and worn away and was n longer legible. A blue plastic tub of used oil was observed unlabeled in the <br />One Spot shop. All hazard us waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardou Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties (toxic, corrosive, reactive, flammable) <br />4. physical state (liquid, olid) <br />5. composition (content ) <br />6. accumulation start da e <br />Immediately label these co tainers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />information. The two tanks of used oil were picked up for disposal at the time of inspection. Since it <br />cannot be determined how ong the 55 gallon drum has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br />hazardous waste hauler to ispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the <br />EHD by February 27, 2012. <br />812. Copies of universal wa�te lamp/bulb disposal records were not found on site. A generator of <br />universal waste (batteries, ercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT <br />glass, aerosol cans) shall k ep a record of each shipment of universal waste on site for at least three <br />years.
