Prepare a Health and Safety ( H&S ) Plan according to the <br /> PHS /EHD UST Corrective Action Site Safety Guidelines . <br /> C . Prepare project work plan pursuant to the Guidelines . <br /> D . Submit the H&S plan and work plan and schedule to the <br /> PHS / EHD Department for review . <br /> TASK 2 SOIL BORINGS AND SAMPLING <br /> A . Drill the soil borings that the consultant has deter- <br /> mined are required for the soil investigation after the <br /> LRA has reviewed the initial site investigation work <br /> plan and found it acceptable . Fixture borings and/or <br /> wells will be dictated by the results of the soil <br /> investigation and any LRA directives . <br /> B . Take soil samples according to the PHS / EHD guidelines . <br /> C . Any sampling conducted must minimize interference with <br /> business as stated in the bid requirements . <br /> TASK 3 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> A . Deliver all soil samples to an analytical laboratory <br /> licensed by the State of California for hazardous <br /> materials work . The samples shall be handled according <br /> to the " Chain of Custody " requirements specified in the <br /> PHS /EHD UST Corrective Action Guidelines . In addition , <br /> any necessary duplicate samples , trip blanks , or other <br /> " Quality Assurance /Quality Control " measure required by <br /> the Guidelines shall also be followed . The samples <br /> shall be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> " TPH " ( gasoline ) , Lead , and BTX&E ( Benzene , Toluene , <br /> Xylene , and Ethylbenzene ) . <br /> TASK 4 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> A . Prepare a technical report which documents the above <br /> activities and analyzes / discusses the data collected , <br /> and send four copies to Owner , c /o Neumiller & Beards- <br /> lee , Attn : Brooke K . Birkie , at P . O . Box 20 , Stockton , <br /> California 95201 - 3020 , for forwarding to the LRA . The <br /> report shall include an executive summary of investiga- <br /> tion activities and results , a tabulation of all soil <br /> data , laboratory data sheets , and any recommendations <br /> for further work if the data warrants it . <br /> B . Meet with legal counsel and PHS /EHD personnel , each at <br /> i least once , if required , to discuss any report defi - <br /> ciencies .
