Health and Safety Plan <br /> A Health and Safety Plan has been developed for the construction of this <br /> remedial action and will be implemented during all phases of construction <br /> activities. The Health and Safety Plan is presented in Appendix D. The <br /> plan addresses the safety of personnel directly involved in construction <br /> activities, as well as the safety of the public during the construction <br /> process. The UP construction contract will require the selected contractor <br /> to develop and implement their own Health and Safety Plan. This plan <br /> will be subject to ERM review and approval, and will include all aspects of <br /> the plan presented in Appendix D. <br /> Air monitoring is addressed in Appendix D as part of the Health and <br /> Safetv Plan. This will address fugitive dust control during field activities. <br /> Health and Safety Station <br /> A health and safety station will be maintained on site with the following <br /> health and safety equipment available during construction activities: <br /> wash basins; eye wash station; first aid kit; personal protective clothing; <br /> and respirators equipped for particulate filtration. <br /> Reporting <br /> Following completion of construction activities, and installation of the <br /> remedial action, a construction implementation report will be prepared <br /> and submitted to RWQCB. This report will document the construction <br /> activities that occurred during implementation of the remedial action. As- <br /> built drawings will be included in the report. Any modifications or <br /> variations to the approved design will also be described in this report. <br /> Construction Duration <br /> Anticipated duration of the construction activities is six months. The <br /> chronology and duration of each construction related activity is as <br /> follows: <br /> 7-3 <br />
