. 26 October 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0128 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> transportation to a state-certified laboratory Each soil sample sleeve will be labeled with boring <br /> location, vertical depth, sampling time, date and sampler's initials <br /> AGE proposes to install single screened ground water monitoring and ground water extraction wells <br /> These wells will consist of a 20-foot screen section with five feet of screen extending above the <br /> current water table (25-40 feet bsg) <br /> Following well installation, the well will be developed to maximize water flow into the well and <br /> minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping and sampling <br /> Procedures for well installation and development are presented in Section 4 2 and 4 3 <br /> 3 3 EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> All sampling tools and brass sleeves used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed with clean <br /> water after washing with a solution of Alconox All augers will be cleaned prior to advancement in <br /> each boring location <br /> 3 4 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed for <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8015m, <br /> • Volatile aromatic hydrocarbons benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylene (BTEX) <br /> in accordance with EPA methods 8020 and <br /> • Oxygenated compounds di-isopropyl ether(DIPS),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), methyl <br /> tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), <br /> methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8260 <br /> Selected soil samples may also be analyzed for intrinsic permeability, moisture content,porosity and <br /> total organic carbon (TOC) in accordance with the appropriate EPA or ASTM methods <br /> Laboratory reports of both soil and ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality <br /> assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be <br /> presented in a report <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
