These features are presented on <br /> Plate 2, Site Map. <br /> A concrete pump island, three fuel dispensers, and cashier shed <br /> were found to exist on the site. Wiggins and Associates reported <br /> that the situ contains three underground fuel storage tanks; one <br /> diesel and two gasoline (these items are shown on Plate 2) . <br /> Wiggins and Associates indicated that the site was used as a <br /> commercial fueling station from approximately 1979 up to May, 1990. <br /> The fueling operation is now abandoned. <br /> TMC found no obvious evidence of chemical residues on the site's <br /> 3 surfaces nov on the surfaces of adjacent sites. There was no <br /> visual evidence of monitoring wells at the site or adjacent sites. <br /> c PURPOSE AND SCOPE of WORK <br /> The purpose of this work was to investigate for the presence of <br /> gasoline and diesel compounds in the subsurface soils at the site. <br /> The scope of work for the investigation included the following <br /> ® tasks: <br /> 1) Review of environmentally-related files at the SJCPHS; <br /> 2) Review of available historic aerial photographs of the site <br /> and site vicinity; <br /> 49 <br /> 3) Submission of a soil boring work plan to the 53CPHS; <br /> 4) Provide for an underground survey to investigate the <br /> location and/or orientation of underground storage tanks and <br /> sub--grade utilities at the site; <br /> ® <br /> 5) Drilling and sampling lin of nine (9) soil borings; <br /> 6) Proxride laboratory analysis of soil samples <br /> recovered from the borings; and <br /> G <br /> 2 of 12 <br /> TMC Environmental, Inc. / San Pablo, California <br /> i <br />
