5608 N PERSHING AVE
PAGE 2
approximately 34' BGS. Depth to water is approximately 27'-28' BGS.
02-04-88 Monitoring wells MW#1 through MW#7 sampled this date. Depth to groundwater was
approximately 27' BGS. Flow direction was to the north northeast.
MW#1 showed TPH as gasoline and BTEX at less than 0.001 ppb,21 ppb, 1.9 ppb, less than
0.5 ppb and 13 ppb, respectively.
MW#4 showed TPH as gasoline and BTEX at less than 1000 ppb, 1.8 ppb,0.6 ppb, less than
0.5 ppb and 0.5 ppb, respectively.
All other wells showed nondetect at detection limits of 1000 ppb, and 0.5 ppb for TPH as
gasoline and BTEX, respectively.
06-28-88 Monitoring wells MW#1, MW#2, and MW#3 sampled this date. Depth to water is
approximately 28' BGS. Flow direction was to the north northeast.
All wells show nondetect for TPH as gasoline and BTEX at detection limits of 1000 ppb,and
0.5 ppb, respectively.
09-01-88 PHS/EHD approves tank removal plans this date.
09-07-88 The four tanks were removed this date.
FUEL TANK PIT
Two soil samples collected from under each of the three product tanks from approx. 15'BGS.
The soil type was noted as clay/loam and also noted to be discolored and odorous. Extensive
contamination was noted at Tank #1 located southernmost near the southwest corner (the
area where the piping connects to the tanks and leaves westerly towards the dispenser islands.
WASTE OIL TANK PTT
One soil sample was obtained from the waste oil tank at approx. 9.5' BGS. The soil type is
noted as clay/loam and heavy contamination and petroleum odors are noted.
PIPING
Five soil samples are obtained from the piping trenches at approx. 5' BGS. Soil type was
noted as clay/loam and no indication was made as to the soil condition.
09-12-88 PHS/EHD receives soil results from the tank removals.
FUEL TANK PIT
The 5,000 gallon super unleaded tank, located northernmost in the tank pit, showed TPH as
gasoline at 1.8 ppm and was nondetect for BTEX at detection limits of 0.05 ppm, 0.1 ppm,
0.1 ppm, 0.1 Qpm and 0.1 ppm, respectively, for both the east and west soil samples.
The 10,000 gallon unleaded tank, located in the middle of the tank pit area, showed TPH as
gasoline at 4.0 ppm and BTEX at less than 0.05 ppm, 0.14 ppm, less than 0.1,ppm, and 0.26
ppm, respectively, for the western sample and showed TPH as gasoline and BTEX at 2.6 ppm,
less than 0.05 ppm, 0.1 ppm, 0.1 ppm,and 0.1 ppm, respectively, for the eastern sample.
