Engineer to be unsafe, inefficient, or inadequate to insure the <br /> required quality or rate of progress of the work, he may order <br /> the Contractor to increase or improve his facilities or <br /> methods , and the Contractor shall comply promptly with such <br /> orders . However , neither compliance with such orders nor <br /> failure of the Engineer to issue such orders shall relieve the <br /> Contractor from his obligation to secure the degree of safety, <br /> the quality of work or rate of progress required. <br /> G7.07 A royal of Contractor ' s Plans. The approval by the Engineer <br /> o any drawing or any method of work proposed by the Contractor <br /> shall not relieve the Contractor of his responsibility for any <br /> errors therein and shall not be regarded as any assumption of <br /> risk or liability by the Agency or any officers or employees <br /> thereof, and the Contractor shall have no claim under this <br /> contract on account of the failure or partial failure or <br /> inefficiency of any plan or method so approved. Such approval <br /> shall mean merely that the Engineer has no objections to the <br /> Contractor using, upon his own full responsibility, the plan or <br /> method so approved. <br /> G7.08 Suggestions to Contractor. Any plan or method suggested to ' <br /> the Contractor by the Engineer or an inspector , but not <br /> specified or required, if adopted or followed in whole or in <br /> part , shall be used at the risk and responsibility of the <br /> Contractor ; and the Agency and the Engineer will assume no <br /> responsibility therefor. <br /> G7. 09 Temporary Facilities and Services. The Contractor shall be <br /> responsible for providing and maintaining the necessary storage <br /> places, field office, temporary roads, fences , watchmen , etc . , <br /> and required utilities, such as telephone, electric, and water <br /> service, at his expense. No water shall be withdrawn from fire <br /> hydrants for construction purposes until the Contractor has <br /> approval of the owner of such hydrant for such a connection. <br /> G7. 10 Unfavorable Weather and Other Conditions. During unfavorable <br /> weather and other conditions, the Contractor shall pursue only ' <br /> such portions of the work as will not be damaged thereby. No <br /> portions of the work of which the satisfactory quality or <br /> efficiency will be effected by any unfavorable conditions shall <br /> be constructed while these conditions remain, unless by special <br /> means or precautions approved by the Engineer the Contractor <br /> shall be able to overcome them. <br /> G7 . 11 Weekend , Holiday, and Night Work . No work shall be done t <br /> between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. , nor on Sundays or legal <br /> holidays except with the permission of the Engineer , except in ' <br /> case of an emergency. <br /> It is understood, however, that two or three shift operations <br /> may be established as a regular procedure by the Contractor if <br /> G-34 <br />
