1 3.06 CONSTRUCTION PHOTOS <br /> 2 <br /> 3 The Contractor shall provide color photos showing the progress of the work. All photos <br /> a shall be taken by an acceptable photographer, shall be of 35mm film size, and shall <br /> 5 indicate the date, job title, and brief description of the photo, including the location where <br /> 6 the photo was taken. Starting one month after the date of the preconstruction photos and <br /> z continuing for as long as the work is in progress, monthly photos consisting of up to 16 <br /> 6 exposures shall be taken at sites designated by the Engineer. Upon completion of the <br /> s work, additional exposures shall be made at the sites where preconstruction photos were <br /> 10 <br /> taken or as otherwise directed by the Engineer and in the same number as preconstruction <br /> 11 photos. Photographer shall be equipped at all times to take either interior or exterior <br /> 12 exposures. Duplicate prints of each exposure shall be bound in loose leaf binders and <br /> 13 delivered to the Engineer. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 3.07 SHIPPING AND PROTECTION OF EQUIPMENT <br /> 16 <br /> n A. Definition: For the purpose of this article "equipment" means any mechanical, electrical or <br /> 1e instrumentation devices, including items to be supplied by the Owner, or any items with one <br /> 19 or more moving parts. <br /> 20 <br /> 1 21 B. Packing and Marking: <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1. All equipment shall be adequately and effectively protected against damage from <br /> 24 moisture, dust, handling or other cause during transport from manufacturer's or <br /> 25 supplier's premises to site. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 2. Each item or package shall be clearly marked with a fitting or distinguishing mark <br /> 26 which shall be shown on the packing lists. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 3. Stiffeners shall be used where necessary to maintain shapes and to give rigidity. Parts <br /> 31 of equipment shall be delivered in assembled or sub-assembled units where possible. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 C. Identification of Equipment: Each item of equipment shall have firmly affixed to it a label or <br /> 34 tag with its equipment number or other discrete identifying mark. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 D. Storage of Equipment: During the interval between the delivery of equipment to the site <br /> 37 and installation, all equipment shall be safely stored in a manner acceptable to the <br /> 36 Engineer. Equipment shall be stored in an enclosed space affording protection from <br /> 39 weather, dust and mechanical damage and providing favorable temperature, humidity and <br /> 40 ventilation conditions to ensure against equipment deterioration. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 E. Protection of Equipment After Installation: After installation, all equipment shall be protected <br /> 43 as specified for existing installations in Article 3.10. During concrete operations, including <br /> ' as finishing, all equipment that may be affected by cement dust must be completely covered. <br /> 45 During painting operations, all grease fittings and similar openings shall be covered to <br /> 46 prevent the entry of paint. Electrical switchgear, unit substation and motor load centers <br /> 47 shall not be installed until after all concrete work and sandblasting in those areas have <br /> as been completed and accepted. <br /> as <br /> 50 F.
