i <br /> 1 qualified persons who shall instruct the Owner's personnel in the operation and care <br /> 2 thereof. Instruction shall include step-by-step troubleshooting procedures with all necessary <br /> a test equipment. All manufacturer's instructions shall be provided in writing. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 During the performance tests data shall be taken and recorded to demonstrate that all <br /> 6 equipment and systems comply with manufacturer's submitted data and other requirements <br /> 7 of the contract. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 If under test, any portion of the work shall fail to fulfill the contract requirements and is <br /> 10 altered, renewed or replaced, tests on that portion when so altered, removed or replaced, <br /> 11 together with all other portions of the work as are affected thereby, shall, if so required by <br /> 12 the Engineer, be repeated within reasonable time and in accordance with the specified <br /> 13 conditions, and the Contractor shall pay to the Owner all reasonable expenses incurred by <br /> ' 14 the Owner as a result of the carrying out of such tests. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 If any doubt, dispute or difference should arise between the Engineer and the Contractor <br /> 17 regarding the test results or the methods or equipment used in the carrying out of a test, <br /> 18 the Engineer may order the test to be repeated using modified methods or equipment. If <br /> 19 the repeat test substantially confirms the previous test all costs in connection with the <br /> 20 repeat test will be paid by the Owner, otherwise the costs shall be borne by the Contractor. <br /> 21 Where the results of any installed test fail to meet the contract requirements, repeat tests <br /> 22 to achieve the contract requirements shall be made at the Contractor's expense. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 3.09 OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS <br /> 25 <br /> 26 A. Before receiving payment for more than 85 percent of the work, the Contractor shall deliver <br /> 27 to the Engineer five sets of acceptable manufacturer's operating and maintenance <br /> 28 instructions covering each item of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment or <br /> 29 equipment assembly provided under this contract. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 B. The operating and maintenance instruction shall include, as a minimum, the following data <br /> 32 for each item of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment: <br /> 33 <br /> 34 1. An itemized list of all data provided. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 2. Name and location of the manufacturer, the manufacturer's local representative, the <br /> 37 nearest supplier and spare parts warehouse. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 3. Accepted submittal information applicable to operation and maintenance. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 4. Recommended installation, adjustment, start-up, calibration and troubleshooting <br /> 42 procedures. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 5. Recommended lubrication and an estimate of yearly quantity needed. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 6. Recommended step-by-step procedures for normal and emergency modes of operation, <br /> 47 including start-up, operation and shutdown. <br /> 48 <br /> as 7. Complete internal and connection wiring diagrams. <br /> 50 <br /> 51 8.
