1 1 SECTION 01300 <br /> 3 SUBMITTALS <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 7 <br /> 8 1.01 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE <br /> 9 <br /> 10 A. At least 30 days prior to his need for approval, Contractor shall forward to Engineer all <br /> 11 submittals required by the individual sections of the specifications. Unless a different <br /> 12 number is called for in the individual sections, submit six copies of each shop drawing, five <br /> 13 copies of all operation and maintenance instructions, and three specimens of each sample <br /> 14 requested, all of which will be retained by Engineer. Contractor shall submit, in addition, <br /> 15 whatever copies he wants returned to him. The Engineer may require that the Contractor <br /> 16 submit a legible reproducible print for the Contractor's use in lieu of multiple prints of a <br /> 17 single drawing. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 B. Identify all submittals on a Letter of Transmittal, as included at the end of this section. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 C. Submittals that are related to or affect each other shall be forwarded simultaneously as a <br /> 22 package to facilitate coordinated review. Uncoordinated submittals will be rejected. <br /> 23 Unrelated materials shall not be combined in the same submittal. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 D. Engineer reserves the right to require submittals in addition to those called for in individual <br /> 26 sections. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 E. Contractor shall schedule submittals to avoid concentration of submittals in a short time <br /> 29 period. Scheduling of submittals shall be included in the Contractor's Progress Schedule. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 1.02 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> 32 <br /> 33 A. The term 'shop drawings' includes drawings, diagrams, layouts, schematics, descriptive <br /> 34 literature, illustrations, schedules, performance and test data, and similar materials furnished <br /> 35 by Contractor to explain in detail specific portions of the work required by the Contract. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 B. Contractor shall coordinate all such drawings, and review them for legibility, accuracy, <br /> 36 completeness, and compliance with contract requirements, and shall indicate his approval <br /> 39 thereon as evidence of such coordination and review. Shop drawings submitted to <br /> ' 40 Engineer without evidence of Contractor's approval will be returned for resubmission. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 C. Approval by Engineer shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility for any errors o <br /> 43 omissions in such drawings, nor from responsibility for complying with requirements of this <br /> 44 Contract, except with respect to variations described and approved in accordance with <br /> 45 Paragraph D below. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 D. If shop drawings show variations from contract requirements, Contractor shall describe such <br /> 48 variations in writing, separate from the drawings, at time of submission.
