, P.O. BO% Y99 LO OI. CA 9526.-0<39 _ 12991 9363 _ FAX I2 O9) 33Y-2610
 6
NAMEPLATE CORPORATION
September 27, 1993
SEP 3 0 1993
Mary F. Meays
Environmental Health Specialist ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
EHD San Joaquin County PERMIUSERVICES
P.O. Box 2009
445 N. San Joaquin
Stockton CA 95201
Dear Ms. Meays:
Please find enclosed a copy of the Site Characterization
Report prepared by WZI Inc. for Lustre-Cal Nameplate
Corporation and Ackel Properties Inc.
Previous work performed by The Mark Group is summarized in
the body of the text and in Appendix I.
WZI has determined that no further investigation or remedial
action of Areas A or D is warranted. We anticipate
receiving the County's concurrence with this assessment.
It appears that the hydrocarbons in the soil next to the
tank are relatively immobile and extend to a depth of
approximately fifteen feet below the ground surface.
WZI has concluded that ground water is not likely impacted
by hydrocarbon compounds.
I anticipate Lustre-Cal and or Ackel Properties will soon
submit a Health Risk Assessment and or a Remedial Action
Plan for the County's review.
Respectfully Submitted,
Rod Hunter
Corporate Chemical Engineer
c: Jim Verseput, Agent for
Ackel Properties
