File No. 20-3978-01.WR9 KLEINFELDER
December 9, 1996
The new wells will be developed to set the filter pack, remove sediment from the casing, and
increase the hydraulic radius of each well. Development will be accomplished by surging,
bailing, and/or pumping each well until no sediment is observed in the purge water. Purge water
will be discharged to the ground surface.
2.6 Groundwater Sampling
At least 48 hours after the wells are developed, one round of samples will be collected from each
monitoring well (a total of 21 samples). Groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following
constituents:
Constituent Analytical
Method
General Minerals
Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Hardness, Various
Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Hydroxide, Chloride, Sulfate, Nitrate,
MBAS, TDS, pH, Conductivity, Fluoride
Inorganics
Sb, Ba, Be, Cd, Cr(total), Co, Cu, Ag, Sn, V, Zn, Ni, Mn, SW6010*
Pb, TI SW7000*
Hg S W7471*
As, Se SM3114B*
Cyanide SW9010*
Sulfide S W9030*
Volatile Organics SW8260
Semivolatile Organics SW8270
Organophosphorous Pesticides SW8141
Chlorinated Herbicides SW8150
* =or equivalent
This list of constituents is used by the state regulators (Regional Water Quality Control Board,
and California Integrated Waste Management Board) to test for releases from municipal waste
landfills.
2.7 Data Compilation and Analysis
Data from the geophysical exploration, trenching, soil and water sampling, and landfill gas
sampling will be compiled into summary tables, graphs, or maps as necessary to develop an
understanding of the extent and character of the landfill areas.
20-3978-01.WR91MP960143 Page 6 nf9 01996,Kleinfelder, Inc.
