Remedial Well and Soil Vapor Extraction System Installation Report 2 <br /> Ranch Market 23569 South Santa Fe R d Riverbank CA N vein er 27 2002 <br /> . 2.3 Domestic Wells and Septic Fields <br /> The Site and the following three residences use septic fields for treatment of waste water and <br /> have domestic wells that are the sole source of water for each residence <br /> Owner Address Parcel Number Well # <br /> Ranch Market 23569 S Santa Fe Road APN 249-070-12 DW-1 <br /> Juan Pantoja 23565 S Santa Fe Road APN 249-070-11 DW-2,DW-2R <br /> Jose Cano 23659 S Santa Fe Road APN 249-070-10, DW-3 <br /> Troy Roe 23665 S Santa Fe Road APN 249-070-09, DW-4 <br /> The location of the domestic wells and the estimated location of the septic field on each <br /> property is shown on Figure 2 Due to the presence of MtBE reported in water samples <br /> collected from domestic well DW-2 on October 7, 1999, the RWQCB required the well be <br /> shut down In January 2000, the well was shut down and a water line was run from the Ranch <br /> Market well DW-1 to the Pantoja Property A replacement well, DW-2R, was installed in <br /> December 2000 and brought online in January 2001 <br /> 2.4 Chronology and Previous Site Assessments <br /> Due to presence of gasoline in the tank pit soil samples collected following the removal of the <br /> three USTs on May 20, 1991, additional assessment of the Site was required Referring to the <br /> soil boring and well completion summary presented in Table 2, assessment of the site has <br /> been on-going <br /> • On January 23, 1998, boring B-1 was drilled and sampled to assess conditions in <br /> soil and groundwater beneath the UST pit Since the soil and grab groundwater <br /> samples collected from B-1 contained gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons, <br /> additional assessment was required (Table 1 and 3) <br /> • On October 7, 1999, domestic well DW-2 was sampled and found to contain 38 <br /> parts per billion MtBE (Table 3) Due to the presence of MtBE, domestic well <br /> DW-2 was sampled in November and December to confirm the presence of <br /> MtBE in the well Domestic well DW-1, located on the Ranch Market Site, is <br /> now sampled monthly and DW-3 and DW-4 are sampled quarterly <br /> • On November 24, 1998 four monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) were <br /> installed on and adjacent to the location of the former UST pit (Table 2) Since <br /> the soil and groundwater samples collected from the three wells contained <br /> gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons (including MtBE), additional assessment <br /> was required <br /> • On April 21, 2000, the RWQCB approved SECOR's April 20, 2000 Work Plan <br /> .
