Final Remediation Plan Page 13 <br /> Ranch Market 23569 South Santa Fe Road Riverbank CA February 28 2001 <br /> Ozone Infection An ozone generator with a compressor rated to deliver 6 scfm at 10 psi <br /> The system will be equipped with a solenoid and manifold that will <br /> allow Infection of ozone Into each point at 6 cfm <br /> A total of 12 ozone injection points will be installed as shown on <br /> Figure 11 Details related to the ozone sparge system are included in <br /> Appendix C <br /> 5.5 Remedial Approach Design Details <br /> 5.5.1 Treatment Compound and Extraction Piping <br /> The treatment compound will have a concrete slab, be 15 feet wide and 20 feet long, and be <br /> surrounded with an 8-foot tall chain--link fence with sound blankets The location of <br /> compound, proposed SVE and ozone wells, and lateral piping layout are presented in Figure <br /> 11 <br /> Individual extraction lines, consisting of 2-inch diameter schedule-40 PVC will be run to each <br /> SVE wells The lines will be plumbed into a 10-well manifold constructed of schedule 80 <br /> PVC to allow control and measurement of the extraction of soil vapor from each SVE well <br /> All extracted vapor from the manifold will be plumbed to the catalytic oxidizer using a 4-inch <br /> diameter schedule 80 PVC line All lines will be equipped with PVC ball valves to control air <br /> flow, lab cock valves to facilitate collection of air samples, and vacuum gauges to monitor <br /> • applied vacuum <br /> Individual 3/8-inch diameter ozone infection tubing will be run from each well to a twelve- <br /> line manifold in the compound The manifold will be plumbed to the 6-point infection <br /> solenoid within the KVA C-Sparger Unit in such a way to allow rotation of the infection lines <br /> between the twelve wells The injection tubing will be double contained in 7/8-inch diameter <br /> tubing <br /> 5.5.2 SVE and Ozone Well Installation <br /> A total of 4 new SVE wells will be drilled to depth of 30 feet bgs and completed with 2-inch <br /> diameter PVC pipe Each well will be plumbed below grade to the extraction lines, <br /> completed with a threaded PVC cap to allow access to the wells, and protected with a water <br /> tight traffic rated well box set flush with grade The 12 new ozone infection points will be <br /> dnlled to a depth of 38 feet bgs and installed at the location shown on Figure 11 The well <br /> completion details of the existing and proposed SVE and ozone infection wells are shown on <br /> Table 9 Details related to the ozone sparge system and well completion schematic are <br /> included in Appendix D <br /> i <br /> File FRP-report doc SECOR International Incorporated <br />
