Ranch Market,23569 South Santa Fe Road Riverbank CA February 1,2001 <br /> The confirmation groundwater samples collected from DW-2R on January 8, 2001, were reported <br /> to contain toluene and TPHg at concentrations of 46 parts-per-billion (ppb) and 200 ppb, <br /> respectively (Table 1) Kiff's laboratory analytical report noted that chloroform and toluene are <br /> the primary contributors to the reported TPHg value Nitrate as NO3 was reported in DW-2R at a <br /> concentration of 10 milligrams per liter (mg/L, or parts-per-million [ppm]), which falls below <br /> California's Department of Health Services maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 45 ppm <br /> Nitrate as nitrogen was not reported above the laboratory detection limit of 0 40 ppm, which falls <br /> below the California MCL of 1 ppm Copies of the laboratory analytical reports and chain-of- <br /> custody documents are included in Attachment 6 <br /> After review of the data, Mr Infurna with the SJCEHD verbally requested SECOR resample the <br /> well to confirm toluene is not present <br /> Second Groundwater Sample Collection and Analyses <br /> On January 11, 2001, SECOR purged DW-2R for approximately five hours and collected a <br /> second confirmation water sample (Attachment 4) The water sample was collected in <br /> appropriate containers, preserved on ice, and transported under chain-of-custody manifest to Kiff <br /> Analytical LLC in Davis, California Per the SJCHED request, the water sample was analyzed at <br /> Kiff for BTEX, TPHg, and MtBE using EPA method 8260B <br /> The second confirmation groundwater sample collected from DW-2R on January 11, 2001, was <br /> reported to contain toluene at concentrations of 5 0 ppb (Table 1 and Attachment 6) <br /> After review of the data, Mr Infurna with the SJCEHD verbally requested SECOR collect a third <br /> water sample from DW-2R to confirm toluene is not present <br /> Third Groundwater Sample Collection and Analyses <br /> On January 15, 2001, SECOR purged DW-2R for approximately seven hours and collected a <br /> second confirmation water sample The water sample was collected in appropriate containers, <br /> preserved on ice, and transported under chain-of-custody manifest to Kiff Analytical LLC in <br /> Davis, California Per the SJCHED request for the concentration of chloroform, the water <br /> sample was analyzed at Koff for a full scan volatile organic analyses using EPA method 8260B <br /> • <br /> File DW-2 Destruct doe <br />
