Problem Assessment Report Page 17 <br /> Ranch Market 23569 South Santa Fe Road,Riverbank,CA November 8,2000 <br /> • Fire permit from the City or County Fire Department, <br /> • San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District permit for vapor abatement and/or <br /> discharge <br /> Additional permits may be required to complete installation and start-up of the system <br /> 10,3 Pre-Construction Activities <br /> The construction bid package will be distributed to a minimum of three qualified contractors <br /> with experience performing similar projects A bid walk will be performed to allow potential <br /> contractors to view the Site and direct questions to the design engineer regarding construction <br /> specifications Competitive bids will be procured from the qualified contractors and the client <br /> will select a contractor based on the contractors'capabilities to perform the work and their <br />' submitted bid cost <br /> Process equipment will be procured prior to construction based on the specifications prepared <br />' during the design phase Equipment delivery will be coordinated to meet the construction <br /> scheduling needs of the selected contractor <br /> t10.4 Construction Activities <br /> 10.4.1 Remediation Well Installation <br /> SVE wells will be installed prior to system construction A Remediation Well Installation <br /> Work Plan will be prepared and submitted to the RWQCB and SCEHD for approval prior to <br />' well installation activities Well installation permits will also be obtained from the SCEHD <br /> prior to well installation activities <br /> 10.4.2 Remediation System Installation <br /> The remediation system construction will commence upon procurement of all system <br /> construction and operation permits, completion of pre-field activities, and completion of well <br />' installation activities The client's representative will provide construction management during <br /> construction activities This includes on-site management of contractor and subcontract <br /> personnel An experienced representative will be present to document Site activities using <br />' daily logs and photographic documentation The representative will verify compliance with <br /> design drawings, construction specifications, building permits, the Site Health and Safety <br /> Plan, and construction schedules The representative will also maintain revisions to a fob-copy <br />' of the design drawings for possible preparation of as-built drawings <br /> 10.4,3 Waste Characterization and Disposal <br /> rWaste materials will be generated from the borings for the remediation wells and the <br /> excavation of the conveyance trenches Wastewater will be generated from steam cleaning of <br />' drill augers during well installation and from development of the remediation wells Waste <br /> soil and water will be temporarily stored on-site, sampled, characterized, transported, and <br /> properly disposed as necessary during construction activities <br /> Fife PAR-report doc SECOR International Incorporated <br />
