Work Plan For Well Installation and Feasibility Testing 4
Ranch Market Site 23569 South Santa Fe Road Riverbank California September 13 2000
supplemental fuel An air compressor will be used to conduct the air sparging portion of the
test
5.1 Permitting
SECOR will prepare and submit a letter of notification to the San Joaquin County Air Pollution
Control District of the proposed two day soil vapor extraction/air sparging (SVE/AS)
feasibility test
5.2 Pre-SVE Test Monitoring
Prior to starting the SVE test the depth to water will be monitored in the six soil vapor
extraction wells, one air sparge well, monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4
Dissolved oxygen readings will also be collected from the wells using a down-hole dissolved
oxygen meter
5.3 Soil Vapor Extraction Feasibility Test
SECOR will conduct a 12-hour SVE feasibility test at the Site The six SVE wells will be
plumbed into a manifold that will allow soil vapor to be extracted from a single well or all six
wells at one time The manifold will allow measurement of the extracted vapor flow rate and
concentration of volatile hydrocarbons from the individual extraction wells and the combined
well field
Soil vapor will be extracted from well V-1, V-2, and V-5 during three individual well tests
lasting 3 hours and extracted from all six vapor wells for an additional 3 hours The following
parameters will be monitored and recorded during the feasibility test at the noted frequency
• Vacuum and extraction flowrate readings every 15 to 30 minutes,
• Induced vacuum/pressure in the adjacent vapor wells as noted below,
• Dissolved oxygen (DO) in the adjacent vapor wells, air sparge well, and four
groundwater monitoring wells prior to termination of each of the four vapor extraction
tests presented below,
• The depth-to-groundwater(DTW)levels will be measured and recorded to the nearest
0 01 foot using an electronic water level indicator in wells AS-1, MW-1, MW-2, MW-
3, and MW-4 prior to termination of each of the four vapor extraction tests presented
below,
File Ranh Mwket\PeporWRbWdlnstal FewibihtyI WKP wpd
