The PM for this job is Sydney GeeIs. 2.3 Project Health and Safety Manager ' The Project HS Manager is responsible for the preparation and modification (as necessary) of this HASP The Project HS Manager will approve changes and update the HASP as ' warranted by altered site conditions and shall have the only authorization to effect such changes (except those changes outlined in the Emergency Response Plan) The Project HS ' Manager will advise the PM on health and safety issues which may have an impact on project operations In addition, responsibility of the Project HS Manager includes: • General health and safety program administration; • Provide technical assistance to the PM and the Project FC; • Investigate significant accidents, illnesses and nearmisses. Recommend corrective actions as appropriate Review all Accident/Incident Investigation Reports; • Determine required personal protective equipment for each work area, • Assist the FC in establishing decontamination area locations; • Evaluate and approve contractors regarding health and safety compliance both prior to accepting the contract and upon completion of the project, as appropriate, and • Conduct exposure monitoring to determine type and extent of personnel exposure and to assess the appropriateness of protective measures The Project HS Manager is Mark Freiberg Mr. Freiberg is a Certified Industrial Hygienist ' (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). ' 2.4 Project Field Coordinator The Project Field Coordinator (FC) reports to the PM and is responsible for field ' implementation of the HASP This includes communicating project health and safety requirements to all on-site project personnel (both IT and subcontractor personnel), field supervision, consultation with the Project HS Manager regarding changes to the HASP and conducting monthly health and safety inspections The Project FC is responsible for informing the Project HS Manager and the PM of any changes to the workplan, prior to implementation, so that health and safety issues introduced by those changes may be properly M7/054)9-9VUSTM-0063 bk 2-3 1
