(AGE) and has the
following comments.
In the document:AGE reports that the contaminant concentrations in the effluent air from
the soil vapor extraction system operating at this site have continued to decrease over
time. For the first time since operation began, reported contaminant concentrations
were non-detect for all constituents analyzed at the August 2004 sampling event. AGE
proposes to conduct a rebound response analysis at this time by discontinuing operation
of the SVE system for a period of one month, followed by restarting the system and
collecting two effluent air samples for analysis. One sample will be collected at the
restart; another will be collected after 48 hours of system operation. Evaluation of the
need for continued system operation will be made following receipt of analytical data
from the rebound samples. AGE proposes that all required modifications to the San
Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District Permit to Operate would be made.
SJC/EHD approves this proposal to conduct a rebound analysis of the SVE system.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director -
Environmental Health Department
f
42C 747z
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Nuel C.
