SA-89-9 <br /> Page Three <br /> 5 . PLANNING DIVISION <br /> a. The rental of storage units shall be limited to the <br /> purpose of private storage of personal property. No <br /> rented unit may be used in connection with the <br /> operation of any business . <br /> b. No outdoor area shall be used for storage . The <br /> equipment used for site maintenance shall be stored <br /> within a building . <br /> C . All outdoor lighting for storage unit buildings shall <br /> be wall-mounted . No lighting fixture may be installed <br /> at height greater than the height of a storage unit <br /> building . Project lights shall not illuminate adjacent <br /> properties or create a glare problem for passing <br /> motorists . <br /> d . The color scheme for the project shall include only <br /> earth-tone shades that minimize a visual contrast <br /> between the developed mini-storage site and the <br /> adjacent residential uses south and east of the site . <br /> The color scheme shall include color coordination of <br /> all structures and buildings , including the perimeter <br /> fence , the on-premises sign , the access gate , the <br /> manager -s residence/office , and all building roofs , <br /> exterior walls , and exterior doors . Details shall be <br /> submitted to the Director for review and approval . <br /> e. The primary site access gate on "J" Street and the <br /> emergency access gate on Harlan Road are the only <br /> perimeter fence openings permitted . The gates shall be <br /> constructed of ornamental iron or steel . The use of <br /> cyclone wire is prohibited . No advertising signs may <br /> be attached to the gates . Gate details shall be <br /> included in the detailed plan to be submitted to the <br /> Director as set forth in condition #d . The primary <br /> access gate shall be set back twenty ( 20) feet from the <br /> north property line and remain open during hours of <br /> operation. The emergency access gate shall remain <br /> locked , be provided with an all-weather driveway and be <br /> posted as a no parking zone. <br /> f . The use of barbed wire or concertina wire along any <br /> perimeter fence top or roof top is prohibited . <br />
