ARCADIS Site Investigation Work Plan <br /> 401 North San Jose Street,Stockton,Caifornla <br /> $.3 Hydroptmch Groundwater Sampling <br /> One groundwater sample will be taken at each CPT location. A CPT rig will be used to advance the hollow <br /> push rods to the bottom of the boring. The push rods will then be retracted,exposing an encased filter <br /> screen and allowing groundwater to infiltrate hydrostatically from the formation Into the inlet screen.A small <br /> diameter bailerwill be lowered through the push rods Into the screen section for sample collection. Once the <br /> bailer Is filled,the bailer will'be retrieved and the groundwater will be'transferred Into the appropriate <br /> laboratory-supplied sample containers. Upon completion of the sample collection,the equipment will be <br /> .retrieved to the ground surface and decontaminated.The borehole will be brought to grade with neat cement <br /> grout. <br /> The groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following constituents: <br /> • TPH-GRO,TPH-DRO,TPH-mo by USEPA Method 8016 Modified <br /> • Benzene, toluene,ethylebenzene-and total xylenes(BTEX),MTBE, 1,2-dichlaroethane(1,2-DCA), <br /> ethanol,diisopropyl ether(DIPS), ethyl tert-buytl ether(ETBE),tent-amyl methyl ether(TAME), t-buyll <br /> alcohol(TBA)and 1,2-dibromoethene(EDB)by USEPA Method 8260B <br /> Groundwater samples will be sealed,labeled,and pieced In an Ice-filled cooler and shipped under <br /> appropriate chain-of-custody protocols to Lancaster Laboratories, Inc. In Lancaster, Pennsylvania. <br /> 3.4 Soil Sampling <br /> In addition,two soil samples will be obtained at each CPT location,at nominal depths of 0--1 feet below <br /> ground surface(ft bgs)and 2-3 ft bgs.The samples will be collected using a hand auger.and slide hammer <br /> with stainless steel sample sleeves. . The core will be logged by a geologist and screened using a photo- <br /> Ionization detector(PID). <br /> The soil samples will be analyzed for the following constituents: <br /> • CAM 17 metals by EPA 6010B <br /> • TPH-GRO,TPH-DRO, and TPH-mo by USEPA Method 8015 Modified <br /> • BTEX,MTBE, 1,2-DCA,ethanol, DIPE,EfBE,TAME,TBA and EDB by USEPA Method 82608 <br /> Upon completion of the soil borings,the boreholes will be brought to grade with neat cement grout. <br /> 5 <br />
