Access becomes problematic during <br /> the rainy seasons due to traction problems encountered in open fields and on wet <br /> dirt roads. <br /> Subsurface conditions consist of alternating layers of sand, clay and gravels <br /> as shown on the drillers logs from previously installed wells presented in Appendix <br /> B. Groundwater will probably be encountered at approximately 15 feet below <br /> ground surface. This information regarding sub-surface conditions is intended to <br /> assist the Contractor in preparing a bid. However, TreaTek-CRA does not <br /> guarantee its accuracy or represent that it is indicative of conditions to be <br /> encountered in drilling the well. The Contractor shall satisfy himself regarding all <br /> local conditions affecting this work by personal investigation. Information provided <br /> in this section, from maps, plans or verbal discussions with TreaTek-CRA, shall <br /> not act to relieve the Contractor from any responsibility for fulfilling any and all of <br /> the terms and requirements of this request for quotation (RFQ). <br /> 1.3 Contractor's Qualifications <br /> 1.3.1 Experience <br /> The Contractor shall have been engaged in the business of constructing <br /> filter pack wells by mud rotary, or top drive casing hammer air rotary methods <br /> (ARCH) for a period of at least seven (5) years and shall have a current California <br /> C-57 license. The Contractor shall submit list of three (3) or more well owners for <br /> whom the Contractor has drilled wells equivalent to those proposed in this RFQ. <br /> The list shall include the owner's name and address, casing diameter and depth, <br /> maximum capacity and specific capacity of the wells installed. <br /> The Contractor shall employ only competent personnel for the execution <br /> of this work and all such work shall be performed under the direct supervision of <br /> an experienced well driller. <br /> 2 <br />
