well site during the summer months is good. Access becomes problematic during
the rainy seasons due to traction problems encountered in open fields and on wet
dirt roads.
Subsurface conditions consist of alternating layers of sand, clay and gravels
as shown on the drillers logs from previously installed wells presented in Appendix
B. Groundwater will probably be encountered at approximately 15 feet below
ground surface. This information regarding sub-surface conditions is intended to
assist the Contractor in preparing a bid. However, TreaTek-CRA does not
guarantee its accuracy or represent that it is indicative of conditions to be
encountered in drilling the well. The Contractor shall satisfy himself regarding all
local conditions affecting this work by personal investigation. Information provided
in this section, from maps, plans or verbal discussions with TreaTek-CRA, shall
not act to relieve the Contractor from any responsibility for fulfilling any and all of
the terms and requirements of this request for quotation (RFQ).
1.3 Contractor's Qualifications
1.3.1 Experience
The Contractor shall have been engaged in the business of constructing
filter pack wells by mud rotary, or top drive casing hammer air rotary methods
(ARCH) for a period of at least seven (5) years and shall have a current California
C-57 license. The Contractor shall submit list of three (3) or more well owners for
whom the Contractor has drilled wells equivalent to those proposed in this RFQ.
The list shall include the owner's name and address, casing diameter and depth,
maximum capacity and specific capacity of the wells installed.
The Contractor shall employ only competent personnel for the execution
of this work and all such work shall be performed under the direct supervision of
an experienced well driller.
2
