2.2 Extraction Well Nominal Specifications
The following nominal well specifications are to be used as a basis for
preparing the individual well lump sum quotation. Schematic diagrams are
provided in Appendix A.
o Depth - 210 feet.
o Blank Casing - eight inch diameter, .25 inch wall thickness, 140 foot total
length, low carbon steel, and
o Screen - eight inch diameter, wire wound V notch, 70 feet total length,
stainless steel.
2.3 Construction Specifications and Methods
2.3.1 Geologic Borehole
Well construction will begin with the drilling of a pilot borehole to a total
depth of 215 feet. The supervising geologist will be on-site to maintain a lithologic
log of the material encountered. The Contractor will provide boxes to retain
samples for testing and inspection.
2.3.2 Geophysical Logging
The Contractor will provide for geophysical logging for the borehole. When
the test hole has been drilled to the complete depth, circulation will be continued
until all drill cuttings have been removed from the hole and the drilling mud in the
hole is uniform. Circulation will be continued until the logging service equipment
is on location, after which the drill pipe may be removed from the pilot hole. The
geophysical log shall be conducted immediately thereafter. The geophysical log
shall be one of the following: (1) a standard electrical survey with one
8
