2.2 Extraction Well Nominal Specifications <br /> The following nominal well specifications are to be used as a basis for <br /> preparing the individual well lump sum quotation. Schematic diagrams are <br /> provided in Appendix A. <br /> o Depth - 210 feet. <br /> o Blank Casing - eight inch diameter, .25 inch wall thickness, 140 foot total <br /> length, low carbon steel, and <br /> o Screen - eight inch diameter, wire wound V notch, 70 feet total length, <br /> stainless steel. <br /> 2.3 Construction Specifications and Methods <br /> 2.3.1 Geologic Borehole <br /> Well construction will begin with the drilling of a pilot borehole to a total <br /> depth of 215 feet. The supervising geologist will be on-site to maintain a lithologic <br /> log of the material encountered. The Contractor will provide boxes to retain <br /> samples for testing and inspection. <br /> 2.3.2 Geophysical Logging <br /> The Contractor will provide for geophysical logging for the borehole. When <br /> the test hole has been drilled to the complete depth, circulation will be continued <br /> until all drill cuttings have been removed from the hole and the drilling mud in the <br /> hole is uniform. Circulation will be continued until the logging service equipment <br /> is on location, after which the drill pipe may be removed from the pilot hole. The <br /> geophysical log shall be conducted immediately thereafter. The geophysical log <br /> shall be one of the following: (1) a standard electrical survey with one <br /> 8 <br />
