The field copies of the logging <br /> output will be approved by the supervising geologist before the logging service <br /> is released from the site. <br /> 2.3.3 Abandonment of the Borehole <br /> Upon completion, the borehole must be grouted to ground surface utilizing <br /> tremmie techniques. The grout will be tremmied from the bottom of the hole <br /> upward to displace the drilling fluids in the borehole. The grout may be prepared <br /> on-site by the Contractor or subcontracted to a local cement service company. <br /> 2.3.4 Contractor's Evaluation <br /> Upon completion of the borehole, the Contractor and the supervising <br /> geologist shall meet to discuss recommendations for satisfactory completion of <br /> the well necessary to meet these specifications and the required guarantees. The <br /> discussion shall include the screened interval, screen slot size, and the type and <br /> grading of the sand or gravel pack recommended by the Contractor. <br /> 2.3.5 Extraction Well Borehole <br /> Subsequent to the Contractor's and supervising geologist's evaluation, a <br /> 14 inch diameter borehole shall be drilled to a nominal depth of 210 feet bgs or <br /> the depth determined by the logging survey, utilizing ARCH drilling method. <br /> 2.3.6 Casing and Screen <br /> Components in the well shall include casing and screen installed to a <br /> 9 <br />
