Development Committee -4-
GP-92-13 and ZR-92-16
- Plant/Animal Life. The project site is within the Kit Fox
habitat area and as such, a conversion of the project site from
agriculture to industrial has the potential to impact the habitat
of an endangered species. It is being recommended that the
applicant meet the requirements of the State of California
Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
consistent with the State and Federal Endangered Species Acts with
respect to the San Joaquin Kit Fox prior to the approval of any
industrial uses.
- Water Quality. The application indicates that General Industrial
development is proposed to develop with on-site septic systems.
Due to the types of uses which are allowed in the General
Industrial zone, this could result in discharges which could lead
to contamination of the groundwater. It is being recommended that
the project be conditioned to require public water, wastewater
treatment and drainage systems which would eliminate this as a
potentially significant impact.
- Land Use. As proposed, the project conflicts with adopted
General Plan policies. As noted above, it is being recommended
that the project be conditioned to require public services, which
would eliminate the inconsistencies with General Plan policies
where it has been determined that the inconsistencies could lead to
potentially significant environmental impacts.
A complete list of the recommended conditions is shown on
Attachment A.
LI: ss
